The contrasting forms of gas Central Heating gas boilers available

There are several kinds of Central Heating Systems that can be purchased in the market. Despite the different names basically these systems usually have copper pipework, radiators and a gas central heating boiler.

Due to the average temperature that is seen across the UK and northern Europe , people barely find the need for air conditioning. Heating is more in demand particularly in the chilly wintertime, making a Central Heating System an absolute must-have for all modern houses and all those located in the United Kingdom.

Central Heating is essential, particularly whens winter is heading our way. While snowstorms rage on outside, you can be safe and warm on the inside. Therefore your heating system needs to be efficient and reliable. You Central Heating System must give you the feeling of assurance that it is safe, simple to use with a long life.

Central Heating system can be divided into two broad classes, pumped/vented systems and sealed systems.

The most commonly used systems are pumped/vented Central Heating systems. The basic differentiating components of such a system are a feed and expansion tank. Your central heating radiators are heated and your water is stored in a hot water tank. The tank makes way for any water expansion that is caused by the heating process. The tank is positioned at the point of maximum height, usually in the attic area to create water pressure. It serves a dual purpose by heating the house and also supplying heated water.

Many homes feature a pumped/vented Central Heating System, particularly the ones constructed several year ago.

A Sealed Gas Central Heating System is a relatively modern technology, and is being adopted by many homeowners today. No water tanks are needed with the sealed system. In the absence of water tanks and pipework, the whole system is sealed and vented; here are some prominent benefits of such a system.

- Frozen loft pipes are no longer a problem.

- loft space is freed up and pipe maintenance is reduced.

- This decreases the chances of a possible leakage.

- Unlike pumped/vented systems, air is not drawn through open vents so the possibility of air locks, corroding and sludge is much lower.

- If necessary, the system can be flushed out under pressure using the main water supply.

The sealed Central Heating system is a fully packaged system with all the controls and safety devices already in place. No tank feeds a sealed system, the supply comes directly from the mains. The mains water goes direct to the sealed system.

Normal variations of pressure can be allowed in a sealed system through a pressure vessel that contains compressed gas; this is separated from the sealed system water by a diaphragm. The pressure in a sealed Gas Central Heating System is controlled by a valve that lets water out if the pressure becomes too high and opens to refill the system with water if the pressure gets too low.

Gas Central Heating systems are a great way to keep your house warm, also they don’t cost you as much as the other systems would. They offer you a lot more control of your home environment than the other heating systems.
